Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function that is formed within the organization that puts the focuses on the recruitment, management and also providing direction for the people who works in the organization. Human Resource Management is the function that can be performed by the line managers also.  Human Resource Management is the organizational function that deals with the issues related with the people such as compensation, hiring, performance management, organizational development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration and training.  
 
The Human Resource Management is quite strategic and comprehensive approach to manage people and the workplace culture and environment. The effective HRM policies enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to overall company direction and accomplishment of the organization’s goal and objectives.  The Human Resource Management is moving away from the traditional personnel, administration and transitional roles which are outsourced. Human Resource Management is now expected to add value to the strategic utilization of the employees and that the employee programs impact the business in measurable ways. The new role of HRM is involving strategic direction and strategic direction and HRM metrics and measurements to demonstrate the value.  

Job Prospects and Earnings of HR:
The Human resource graduates are having lots of potential as every industry needs professionals for maintaining their labor force. Starting from collecting the employees details, to maintain the human resource information (HRI) systems, the job of HR managers have now extended to that of recruiter manager, compensation manger, employer relation manager, strategic manager and much more. They are placed by the industry in HR department, HR planning/ recruitment, HR auditing etc and are also involved in all the aspects of people management to improve the morale of employees.

The graduates in Human Resource Management may be recruited by companies through campus interviews. They will be trained by the HR Managers in HR Department. These HR managers in HR department are employed in different locations. They are seeking employment in corporate houses, multinational companies, banking and financial institutions and public and private sector industries.
